What happens next

Once your file is received from the housing provder, a date is set for your appeal to be heard by the Committee. In considering an appeal, the Committee will review the housing provider's policy, information on your file and any documents that you may have submitted with your appeal form.

The Committee consists of a Presiding Chairperson and one or two members. This Committee will then speak with you about the reasons why you are unhappy with the decision. This interview will be either face to face or by telephone. The Committee will ask you some questions to better understand your situation. If you need an interpreter to help you during the interview, the Committee will arrange one for you. The interview is an informal process that takes approximately 30-50 minutes.
