Housing Appeals Committee members
The Committee:
- was established in December 1994 by the Minister for Housing and commenced operation early in 1995.
- is separate from government departments, reporting to the Minister for Housing.
- is a merits review agency which can hear appeals on many decisions made by the Housing NSW and Community Housing providers.
- currently consists of 15 part-time Committee members, comprising one Chairperson, a Deputy Chairperson and members, appointed by the State government following an open selection process.
